Max has a bachelor’s degree in Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and a master’s degree in Music from the Yale School of Music.
During his time as an assistant video producer for the Philadelphia Orchestra, he took pottery lessons starting in 2024 at The Clay Studio and was a member at The Pottery Gym. He was an artist in residence at Sterling City Studio where he taught weekly beginners throwing courses from January to May in 2026.
He is pursuing farming and pottery with his partner Audrey, and can be found at World’s End in Esperance NY, where he is the resident ceramicist, creating personal, commission, and production pottery.
